The day was filled with a range of presentations and a World Café. We also presented a ‘Guide to Creative Sharing’, developed as part of the EU-funded project ‘CREATUSE’. We invited a range of engaging speakers who are immersed in Sheffield’s local sharing organisations. These included TimeBuilders, The Repair Cafe, Food Hall, Good Gym and Common Thread.
During the first half of the day, we introduced the concept of a sharing economy and the Creatuse project. Following that, we had speakers from several organisations who spoke about the great work they are doing in Sheffield. After lunch, we held a World Café segment, in which each table discussed a topic related to the sharing economy and the Creatuse project. The tables swapped regularly so that people had a chance to participate in different discussions and some great conversations were had!
The Creatuse ‘Community Sharing in Sheffield’ event was a great success. Participants learned all about the Creatuse project and the Sharing Economy in general and had opportunities to find out more about getting involved in local initiatives.
