Empowering Leaders: Highlights from the ‘Train the Trainers’ Workshop in Zutphen

Collaboration, creativity, and connection were at the heart of our recent Reignite Erasmus project gathering. Partners from Poland, Bulgaria, France, and the Netherlands came together in the picturesque town of Zutphen, Netherlands, for an immersive Train the Trainers (ToT) workshop.

The primary focus of this intensive training was to equip our international partners with the tools and methodologies needed to successfully implement Action Learning Sets for participants aged 55+ back in their home countries.

The Power of Purpose & Positive Psychology

The core mission of the Reignite Action Learning Sets is to guide mature adults toward rediscovering their purpose and boosting their self-motivation. By combining coaching frameworks with positive psychology and collaborative problem-solving, trainers learn how to create a safe, empowering space for participants to thrive.

During the workshop, partners got to experience these tools firsthand. A standout favorite among the group was the Wheel of Life exercise.

Why the Wheel of Life?
This coaching tool provides an instant, visual snapshot of a person’s current life balance. It quickly highlights which areas might be feeling neglected or running “low.” By pairing this visual realization with
SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), trainers and participants alike can map out clear, actionable steps to bring their entire wheel back into balance.

Bringing the Momentum Home

The energy throughout the training was palpable. Our partners headed home not just with new manuals and frameworks, but with a genuine excitement to launch the Action Learning Sets in their local communities.

As they begin implementing these sessions, the ripple effect will be twofold: creating a profound, positive impact on the wellbeing of the 55+ participants, while simultaneously enriching the skills and growth of our partners as trainers.

We look forward to sharing updates as these European cohorts begin their journeys!
