BADGE aims to transfer and adapt an innovative support programme – Diversity in Business Workshops – developed in the UK, and that will enable female start-ups experiencing double-disadvantage to gain valuable soft skills and competences to assist them starting up their own business.

Pilot workshops with women were run in the partner countries to test the methodology, which included separate trainers (business advisors) and learners kits. An online community was be created to continue the peer-support approach, using Web 2.0 and social media to reduce isolation and build valuable social capital for the target group. VET trainers had access to innovative European approaches and the opportunity to share knowledge with peers across Europe.
